Tribute by
Mrs. Mary Lanquaye-Tetteh
Sister Christie, as we affectionately called her, was a dear sister whom I have known for many years.
We once lived close to each other – she at Labadi Abormi and I at South Labadi estates. We also fellowshipped in the same church in Cape Coast. As an older sister, she used to advise me on many things. She first moved to Cape Coast after she got married and I followed shortly after, and she was so kind to host me at her house for about a week. Interestingly, her husband Mr. Akwesi of blessed memory, stayed with my father when he was a schoolboy. The relationship was so close that during the period of her illness she would often call me and together we would go before the Lord in prayer. I would also often encourage her and even went to see her in person to ascertain her wellbeing and further lift her spirits. I will miss her in many ways but most of all will be her hearty conversations and infectious laughs. Although she is gone, I know she is resting in the Lord’s bossom.
My dear sister, Wo Odzogbann!
